Terms of service

The short version
QuotePaid is for running a business. You get 21 days free, then pay monthly or yearly and can leave any time. Your data is yours. Card payments from your customers go straight to your own Stripe account, and we take no cut. You check every quote and invoice before it goes out.
01 Who we are and who these terms are for
QuotePaid · Dublin, Ireland. “We” and “us” means QuotePaid; “you” means the business that signs up.
QuotePaid is for businesses and sole traders, used for their trade. You must be 18 or over and using QuotePaid for your business, not as a private person. By ticking the boxes at sign-up you confirm both, and you agree to these terms and our data processing agreement, which is part of these terms. Our privacy policy explains what we do with your data.
02 Your account
One account is for one business. Keep your details correct, keep your password to yourself, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. You’re responsible for everything sent from your account, including quotes, invoices and reminders.
03 Free trial and paying for QuotePaid
The first 21 days are free, with no card needed. After that QuotePaid costs €19 a month or €190 a year, as shown on the pricing page. Prices include any VAT due. You pay by card through Stripe, at the start of each month or year.
If a payment fails, we email you and you have 7 days to put it right. After that your account becomes read-only: you can still log in, see everything and download your quotes and invoices, but not send anything new until you pay.
We’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before any price change. A change never applies to a period you’ve already paid for, and never to a founding price.
04 The founding offer
The first 15 businesses to pay get the founding price: €15 a month or €150 a year, for life. “For life” means this:
- It lasts for as long as your subscription stays active. It’s the life of your subscription, not of a person or of QuotePaid.
- A spot is yours when you first pay, not when you join the waitlist or start a trial. The counter on the site is live.
- If a payment fails, you have 30 days to pay and keep the price.
- If you cancel, or those 30 days run out unpaid, the price and the spot are gone for good. If you come back later, you pay the normal price.
- Switching between monthly and yearly keeps the founding price.
- It stays with your account and can’t be passed to another business or a new owner.
- If we ever close QuotePaid, we’ll give you at least 90 days’ notice and a copy of your data.
05 Payments from your customers
Taking cards is optional. Your customers can always pay you by bank transfer or through your own payment links, and you mark those as paid yourself.
If you connect Stripe, your customers’ card payments go straight into your own Stripe account. Your Stripe account is between you and Stripe, under the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. You allow us to: create payment pages for your deposits and invoices on your account, read the payment updates Stripe sends us, and show you each payment’s status. We never hold your money and take no fee from it. Stripe’s own fees are between you and Stripe.
If a report shows a card payment was fraud, or that the work was never done, we may refund that payment to the customer from your Stripe account. We’ll always tell you why. This doesn’t affect your customer’s own right to dispute a card payment with their bank.
06 Your quotes, invoices and customers
You are the trader for your own customers. Your contract with each customer, your prices and the work are yours, and so is what your quotes and invoices say about tax: VAT rates, your VAT number, reverse charge and RCT. QuotePaid lays them out and adds them up; you check every quote and invoice before it goes out. A voice quote is a draft: we never set a price, and nothing is sent until you approve it.
People paying for work on their own home can usually cancel within 14 days of accepting a quote online or away from your premises. On those quotes QuotePaid shows them their right to cancel, your business name, address and email, and a model cancellation form, and lets them ask for the work to start sooner. We keep what they were shown and chose with the acceptance. Mark a customer as a company or main contractor, or a quote as an urgent repair they asked for, only when that is true. Refunds and what a customer owes for work done are between you and them.
Sending invoices by email or link needs your customer’s agreement. Getting it is up to you. If a customer wants paper, give them paper.
Revenue asks you to keep your business records for six years. QuotePaid keeps them while your account is open. After you leave, your own downloads are your copy, so download your invoices before we delete them.
07 Your data
Your quotes, invoices and customer details belong to you. We store them in Ireland and use them only to run QuotePaid for you, as our data processing agreement says. Our privacy policy explains what we keep about you and for how long. You can download any quote or invoice as a PDF at any time.
You allow us to build anonymised price ranges from the quotes businesses send and to publish them: the middle half of unit prices before VAT, per job and province, only once at least 30 quotes from 5 businesses are in, with no customer details and no way to tell which business quoted what.
08 Fair use, reports and illegal content
Don’t use QuotePaid to break the law, mislead or defraud anyone, send messages people didn’t ask for, or upload content that isn’t yours to share. Voice quotes and paid messages have fair limits per business.
If we get a report about your account, or see something wrong ourselves, we may warn you, pause your sending, or pause your account while we look into it. We’ll tell you what we did and why, and you can reply to put your side.
To report illegal content, or for anything else under the EU Digital Services Act, email support@quotepaid.ie. That address is our contact point for users and for the authorities, in English.
09 Cancelling and leaving
You can cancel any time from Settings. Your plan runs to the end of the period you’ve paid for, with no refund for the rest of it, and then your account becomes read-only. You can still log in and download your quotes and invoices for 90 days. We email you a final warning, then delete your data.
We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. We’ll tell you why, and give you time to download your data unless the law stops us. If we close QuotePaid altogether, you’ll get at least 90 days’ notice and a copy of your data.
10 Our responsibility
We build and run QuotePaid with care and skill, but no software is perfect. We’re not responsible for a mistake in a quote or invoice you sent without checking, or for lost profit, lost business or other indirect losses.
Our total responsibility to you in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in those 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, such as for fraud.
11 Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we’ll email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before then. The next time you open the app after a change, we ask you to accept the new version before you carry on, and we keep a record of each version you accepted and when. The date at the top shows the latest version.
12 The law, keeping a copy, and contact
These terms are in English and under Irish law, and the Irish courts deal with any dispute. Save or print this page to keep a copy; we also keep the version you agreed to with your account. Questions about these terms: support@quotepaid.ie.
